Every week I will be posting a song, new or old, that somehow became a favorite of mine over the last few days. I'll be posting a short description with each song, telling why I chose it and the meaning behind it for me.
This week's song of the week is :
My My My! - Troye Sivan
I was sitting in my room, WAITING for this song to come out. I kept refreshing Spotify and when the song finally was released, I. Was. Ready. I have been following Troye for awhile now, discovering him during his early YouTube days, posting short songs about each year and just on the verge of creating music. When "Happy Little Pill came out, I was in love. I knew that he was going places, and I quickly followed. "My My My!" describes giving into lust and love, and letting go of everything else. The song's instrumental is not only the sound of the Troye that we all love, but has a fresh, new, dance-pop sound that resonates youth. Now, the music video was most likely my favorite part of this whole release. Each scene reminds me of something out of a vogue magazine or a Calvin Klein ad, creating a model vision, but the actions of each person throughout the video scream, "I've forgotten world because I've been dancing," and both styles compliment each other so well. Troye wears some iconic outfits in the video, giving off an very "Queer as Folk" vibe (4 out of 10 show, wouldn't recommend, but amazing early 2000's outfits). To sum it all up, the song was an amazing way to start out 2018 and tells us all to just give into wherever our hearts are, just for a night; to stop worrying about what might happen and what we cannot control. Please go support Troye and listen to this fantastic song.
Stay peachy,

Child no, that is the song of the MONTH, at a minimum! not song of the week!!! I would even argue song of the YEAR!! It just isn't Song of the Decade because that slot belongs to Heaven, by Troye Sivan... which I am saddened that you didn't talk about!!!
Anyways now I feel like a stalker for finding this.... I just saw the TCT article that Irene wrote, and well I looked into and saw Troye Sivan's face so I read this page....
But anyways.... I love this post, and love what you are doing here. If I remember that this exists in a few weeks I may or…
